About This Race and Course Description

Tuthill Park is one of the busiest parks in Sioux Falls with disc golf, picnic shelters, playgrounds, and the newly added singletrack trails built by Falls Area Single Track (FAST). The singletrack trails are accessible to bikers, hikers, and runners and are well used by all three groups. We will be hosting our first race on the new trails in 2020 and hope to spotlight this hidden gem in the heart of Sioux Falls. 

The course will start/finish in the upper Tuthill Park area next to the large parking lot and bathrooms. There is a roughly 25 yard open space that leads onto the singletrack and the course is a 1.5 mile loop. 3 mile runners will complete two loops and 6 milers will run four loops. The trails dirt, single person width, through tree covered parkland. There are sections of relative flat but for the most part you'll be running rolling hills with around 400ft of elevation gain for the 3 mile race. There is no two-way traffic on the loop so you don't have to worry about dodging anyone.
