Camden State Park Trail Races

About This Race

Camden State Park in SW Minnesota is part of the Coteau des Prairies (highland of the prairie) plateau. The Redwood River cuts through the park forming a wooded valley with ample hiking, biking, and running trails throughout the park.

The 3 and 10 mile participants will start together, followed by the 7 mile participants 5 min later. The 10 mile race is simply the 3 mile + the 7 mile course. The courses will start and end in the south parking lot by the Redwood River and Bluebird Trailheads. There is ample parking and we have the full day camp to use during our event. Races will run counter clockwise, heading north through the valley and along the Redwood River. Eventually turning east up the bluff where you’ll run along the woods and in the open prairie, before eventually heading back down into the valley and circling back to the finish area. Trails vary from wide mowed paths to technical singletrack.
